During the 2026 state legislative session, 1,896 bills were filed, with only 237,
or 12.5%, of those bills ultimately passing both chambers. Through diligent
advocacy efforts, meaningful conversations with legislators and stakeholders, and sound policy solutions, two of FAA’s priorities advanced across the finish line.


RESEARCH: How a Community is Developed in Florida

In 2025, FAA funded a study to identify specific barriers that contribute to increased financial costs and time delays during the rental housing development process. The result of that research study was an interactive development timeline calculator tool that gives an inside look at the development process and the real potential impact of these barriers.
