Job Description - Leasing Specialist

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Community Manager

Summary/Objective

Responsible for showing and leasing apartments, houses, or rooms for rent at apartment communities. Prepares, explains, and signs leasing agreements to past, present and future residents. Must be flexible and adaptive to the ever-changing market and the owner's objectives and company goals.

Job Duties

  • Greets customers with friendly, courteous
  • Answers telephone with appropriate
  • Schedules appointments to show rental
  • Shows rental units to customers and explains the main features and benefits of
  • Takes rental applications
  • Prepares and signs leasing agreements with renewing and new
  • Assists in preparing rental units for re-rental at any time throughout the year, and mandatory in month of
  • Updates computer files and reports
  • Passes out fliers to promote apartment
  • Cross-markets to other communities within Paradigm Properties Management Team,
  • Takes ownership of resident problems or concerns; follows through with
  • Files and organizes working
  • Open and closes the property office and show
  • Straightens and cleans office area and show
  • Prepare and helps with renewal parties, residential appreciation parties, or any other special function at the community
  • Responsible for making sure model apartments, mini models or other show units are in top condition to show prospective
  • Responsibilities may change due to community needs, market changes, or seasonal demands of

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college
  • Retail, sales, or customer service
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend
  • Reading, writing, seeing, hearing and /or communication and mathematical
  • Reasoning, interpersonal, and appropriate telephone
  • Tactful, mature, flexible and
  • Ability to take initiative and follow tasks through
  • Computer and typing
  • Must have valid in-state Driver’s License and reliable

Work Enviroment

  • Typical office setting.
