Florida Lowering Vaccine Eligibility on March 29

Posted By: Johnmichael Fernandez Industry News,

What's happening?

Beginning Monday, March 29, all Floridians age forty and older will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The following Monday, April 5, all Floridians age eighteen and older will be eligible. Each iteration of the vaccine - Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson - will be administered at no cost to the patient.

What are the requirements?

At this time, age is the sole determinant of vaccine eligibility. However, the following are exceptions to this rule:

  • individuals determined to be extremely vulnerable by a physician
  • health care workers with direct patient contact
  • long-term care facility residents and staff
